SPK Indonesia Deepens Global Education Collaboration with Visits to Oxford, Cambridge, and Key Accreditation Partners
In a continued effort to strengthen global partnerships and elevate the quality of education, Perkumpulan Sekolah SPK Indonesia embarked on a series of institutional visits across the United Kingdom in January 2025.
On January 21, 2025, SPK Indonesia representatives visited two of the most prestigious universities in the world: Oxford and Cambridge.
At Oxford University, Ms. Imelda and Ms. Julie engaged in meaningful dialogue focused on language assessment, evidence-based interventions, and the transformative impact of OxEd (Oxford Education) programs in the UK. Backed by the UK?s Department for Education, OxEd?s approach has reached more than 11,000 schools worldwide, providing scalable solutions to support student learning and language development. The visit offered valuable insight into how rigorous academic research can directly inform classroom practice ? a model that SPK Indonesia aims to learn from and adapt to the Indonesian context.
Simultaneously, another delegation led by Ms. Haifa, Ms. Shirley, and Mr. & Mrs. Winfrid from Elyon School Surabaya visited the Cambridge Triangle Office. The team was warmly welcomed by Cambridge?s academic partners and engaged in in-depth discussions on curriculum development, assessment strategies, and best practices that support 21st-century learning outcomes. This visit reinforced the mutual commitment to quality education and the ongoing dialogue between SPK schools and world-leading education institutions.
The momentum continued on January 24, as the SPK Indonesia team held strategic meetings with three influential organizations in global education: the Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC), the International Curriculum Association (ICA), and Pearson Education. These sessions opened doors to potential partnerships and collaborative frameworks, focusing on international accreditation, curriculum alignment, and professional development for educators across SPK member schools.
These visits not only fostered international goodwill but also laid a strong foundation for future collaborations aimed at raising the standards of teaching, learning, and school leadership in Indonesia. As SPK Indonesia continues to connect with global education leaders, it remains committed to providing globally-minded, culturally-rooted education for every student.
